These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the ScrollScript website, application, and services (collectively, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Description of Service
ScrollScript is an AI-powered platform that generates short-form video scripts for platforms including TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts. The Service uses artificial intelligence to create script content based on user-provided inputs such as topic descriptions, tone preferences, target audience, and duration settings.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to use the Service. By using ScrollScript, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.
3. Account Registration
To access certain features of the Service, you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep your account information up to date. You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
You must notify us immediately at support@scrollscript.ai if you become aware of any unauthorized use of your account. We are not liable for any loss arising from unauthorized use of your account.
4. Plans, Pricing, and Billing
ScrollScript offers free and paid subscription plans. Details of each plan, including features, usage limits, and pricing, are available on our Pricing page.
Billing. Paid subscriptions are billed monthly in advance through our payment processor, Stripe. By subscribing to a paid plan, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.
Cancellation. You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You will retain access to paid features until the end of that period.
Refunds. Payments are generally non-refundable. If you believe you have been charged in error, please contact us at support@scrollscript.ai within 14 days of the charge.
Price Changes. We reserve the right to change our pricing at any time. If we change the price of a plan you are subscribed to, we will notify you at least 30 days before the change takes effect. Your continued use of the Service after the price change constitutes acceptance of the new price.
5. AI-Generated Content
The Service uses artificial intelligence to generate video scripts. You acknowledge and agree that:
(a) AI-generated content may not always be accurate, complete, or suitable for your purposes. You are solely responsible for reviewing, editing, and verifying all generated content before use.
(b) Scripts generated by the Service may occasionally include factual errors, culturally inappropriate references, or content that does not align with your intended message. We do not guarantee the accuracy or appropriateness of any generated content.
(c) You are solely responsible for ensuring that any content you publish or distribute based on generated scripts complies with applicable laws, platform guidelines, and third-party rights.
(d) We do not claim that generated scripts are unique. Similar or identical content may be generated for other users who provide similar inputs.
6. Ownership and Intellectual Property
Your Content. You retain ownership of the inputs you provide to the Service (such as topic descriptions and briefs). Subject to these Terms, you own the scripts generated for you through the Service, and you are free to use, modify, and distribute them as you see fit.
Our Service. ScrollScript and its underlying technology, design, branding, and proprietary methods remain the exclusive property of ScrollScript. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right, title, or interest in the Service beyond the limited right to use it as described herein.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to:
(a) Generate content that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, threatening, obscene, or otherwise objectionable.
(b) Generate content that infringes on any third-party intellectual property rights, privacy rights, or other rights.
(c) Generate spam, misleading content, or content designed to deceive or manipulate audiences.
(d) Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service or its underlying technology.
(e) Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to access the Service in a manner that exceeds normal human usage.
(f) Resell, sublicense, or redistribute access to the Service without our written permission.
8. Usage Limits
Each plan has daily script generation limits and per-script refine limits as described on our Pricing page. We reserve the right to enforce these limits and to suspend or throttle access if we detect abuse or unusual usage patterns. Unused daily allocations do not carry over to subsequent days.
9. Service Availability
We strive to keep the Service available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. We are not liable for any downtime or service interruptions.
10. Termination
You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time by contacting us at support@scrollscript.ai.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause and with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms or if continued access poses a risk to the Service or other users. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.
11. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE, OR THAT ANY CONTENT GENERATED WILL BE ACCURATE, COMPLETE, OR SUITABLE FOR YOUR PURPOSES.
12. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SCROLLSCRIPT AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM (A) YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE; (B) ANY CONTENT GENERATED BY THE SERVICE; OR (C) UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS TO OR ALTERATION OF YOUR DATA. IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE SIX (6) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless ScrollScript and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorney fees) arising out of or in any way connected with your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by posting the updated Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
15. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the courts located in Delaware.
